Project Superintendent
Leads People
- Manage multiple projects and/or large complex projects, possibly in a remote location
- Coordinate, plan, and supervise subcontractors and/or craft activities
- Lead the interview team for the hiring of craft personnel
- Provide proactive and intentional leadership in developing the safety culture on the project site
- Conduct performance reviews of general foreman and appropriate team members as required
- Build strong cross-cultural relationships and influence others internally and externally at all levels of the organization and resolve cross-cultural conflict in a culturally appropriate way
- Foster strong teamwork orientation and will be a resource for valuing and promoting diversity
- Mentor and manage team members, time management, and developing client relationships
- Responsible for the productivity, safety and quality of up to 50 craft team members, and subcontractors.

- Participate in pre-construction budgeting, scheduling and design
- Review and/or create project schedules and the 3-week look ahead
- Select formwork systems & equipment
- Implement and understand project administration requirements in conjunction with the project manager
- Analyze and resolve work problems, ability to determine work method alternative
- Partner with project manager during the construction phase to budget, manage, and forecast the following: craft labor, equipment, materials, small tools, consumables, & general conditions
- Implement and manage NCBs' Safety Program on the project
- Develop site utilization plan and establish crew size
- Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, clarifying discrepancies
- Maintain liaison with other functions to ensure all required materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule

Duties and responsibilities:
- Implementation of various safety systems throughout the duration of the project
- On site at all times as work is being completed
- Understand and is proficient in following and forecasting the project budget
- Schedule the project allocating labor & equipment resources accordingly
- Assist in creating a critical path schedule for the project
- Monitor receipts & purchases coding them according to the project budget
- Mentor and train employees completing employee performance evaluations as needed
- Coordinate/communicate with owners, engineers, and inspectors throughout the project
- Coordinate and hold all subcontractors accountable for quality, safety, and schedule
- Schedule and coordinate any and all tasks on the jobsite including subcontractors, material deliveries, inspections, material testing, concrete placements, etc.
- Building the project according to the drawings and specifications
- Recognize when an RFI or change order is required
- Complete daily logs and ongoing construction progress documentation
- Participate in the hiring process for new employees
Essential skills and requirements:
- Surveying and layout skills
- Computer literate
- Ability to schedule and multitask
- Strong working knowledge of all OSHA health and safety standards
- Minimum OSHA 10-hour
- Working knowledge of all the divisions in construction
- At least 3 years experience as a superintendent on water and waste water projects
- Must be willing to travel

Estimator/Project Manager, Immediate Opening!
Job Summary:
To provide project management for all phases of the construction project including submittals, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. You must have extensive verifiable professional experience in commercial project construction estimating, including both conceptual (design build / design assist). Computer literacy is required in Excel Spreadsheets, CPM Scheduling and various estimating software.
Job Functions:
- Manages projects from start to finish including submittals, attend weekly job site meetings, material procurement and project closeout
- Reviews architectural and engineering drawings and specifications to make sure that all regulations are being followed
- Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated
- Fluent in Excel, OST
- Detailed Oriented. Able to go through a set of bid documents and identify and quantify various building elements as part of a team for a larger project, or able to handle a smaller project completely
- Multi Tasker. Able to handle more than one project at the same time
- Should be able to bid and buy out projects at the same time
- Take Off Knowledge. Able to assist in preparing take offs for review
- Risk Assesment. Able to assess risk with limited information and make snap decisions
- Deadline Awarness. Able to prepare work product timely
- Finisher / Closer. Work product coming out should be spotless, should take personal pride in perfection
- Subcontractor Selection. Able to go through sublist and identify weak areas of coverage and assist estimating assistant in getting coverage
- Identify, track, and report on commercial projects, assist with client development
- Prepare complete cost estimates, attend pre-bid meetings, evaluate constructability, participate in bid review process
- Apply experience in commerical construction to assist Project Superintendents with multiple construction crews, and direct each team's work
- Manage costs
- Schedule and manage crew workforce, equipment, and tools for maximum utilization and quality of work
- Ensure all employees are current in and compliant with all safety policies, and have received required safety training and equipment
Experience Requirements
- 3 years in the construction industry at a minimum, resulting in demonstrated knowledge of construction standard practices, techniques, quality requirements, applicable codes and standards
- Ability to function as a team-builder/player
- Proven abilities to focus on clients' needs
- Bachelor's degree in construction management a plus
